Remember When

This is Victoria, my constant companion of 25 years.

Boy we could travel then. Life was so free, so non-constricted. Who would have guessed that 25 years on we would, all of us, be under a form of house-arrest for months? That taking a plane to a foreign country would be beyond our reach? That keeping cash and obeying the government would be our paramount concerns?

We took the world for granted back in those days. Now humankind is caught up in Nature’s whirlwinds - as much as any insect might be. We climbed above Nature, and She has bought us back down to Earth. Mother Earth.

It’s time to fit in once again with the natural cycles of this great planet.

I am sure that with our human arrogance of mind we will threaten our planet once again, but next time I think she will scream at us even louder.

I think I am starting to value the planet, and those I share it with. I want to see it again, like I did in those early days with Victoria.
